Fill the Library at Amigos Academy

There are 3 ways to help:

1. Buy a book: Visit our Amazon wish list and order a book. Use this option if you want to buy a book to be carried by volunteers traveling to Amigos.
2. Take a book: Visit our Amazon wish list and order a book, but have it shipped to your house. Use this option if you are traveling yourself to Amigos.
3. Support a book: Make a donation directly to Amigos so they can buy books in Nicaragua.

Amigos is dedicated to giving the students at Amigos Academy every academic opportunity so they can dream and achieve big things. The difficulty is as the students are mastering their curriculum and learning to read, there are no public libraries and the school library hasn’t been built yet. They have plans to build a library on their campus as they obtain the funds, but books are scarce, hard to come by, and expensive.

So we have a goal to help fill the library. Our goal is to get at least 5,000 books so that when they build their library, it’s filled on the first day. This is a gigantic task, but we believe each book, each purchase, each person, can make an insurmountable task achievable. No matter how long it takes, we want these students, whose lives are filled with can’t, don’t, impossible, and difficult, to know there is an entire world of yes that can be opened up for them through books.
