Hi friend and family,
On March 1st, I will be running the Fuego y Agua 50K (31 miles!) on the island of Ometepe in Nicaragua to support clean water projects in rural communities across Nicaragua. I am fundraising for Amigos for Christ, and I will be running with the RunJuntos team - a group of colleagues and other Amigos supporters in the US, all running to support clean water in Nicaragua.
In the US, clean water is something that many people take for granted, but for many people in Nicaragua, this is not the case. Having previously volunteered 5 separate times with Amigos and having the honor to attend 2 water inauguration ceremonies in the communities of Valle Los Morenos and Los Torres, I have seen firsthand what clean water means to the people of Nicaragua. Every donation will make a real difference in the lives of the people in the communities.
