Please Donate! Chinandega, Nicaragua. Several years ago, Eddie and Sophia helped dig the foundations for a school run by Amigos for Christ. The kids had been learning in a shack which had replaced a tarp in a tree. Forward to last week showing what these children have now. Education, 2 meals a day, clean water, and amazing people helping to drive and inspire the next generation. A very humbling experience.
We also spent time in rural village who had been carrying water up from a beautiful river, seen in the photo on this page. But the water was not clean, and health issues prevailed. Now they have clean drinking water, time, and even pigs to earn an income.
We also met a farmer who previously had a few cattle in a field. He now has a well and a solar panel to pump the water to a tower which irrigates the field. The papaya he grows are delicious and a massive step forward to economic sufficiency. The support and knowledge to manage finances, sell the produce, and even convert the product into delicious hot sauces helps build a future with hope.
